B2 Study Block / Lunch * B3 English 9.5 B4 Free / Ms. Platt's Study Block comes in for a 90 minute study block.** Q1 - 2:00-2:10 duties at T hallway * Notes on B2 study block: Study Block (take attendance; ask everyone to remain quiet so that others can study; first two requests to go to the LMC can take blue passes and get your signature in their planners and go....be sure to take down their names before they leave so you don't count them absent); Use of restroom should include signature in planner with time gone and time returned and students should be allowed to go only one at a time. If another teacher has requested the prescence of a student, look for signed pass in the student planner, then sign next to the pass, including time left study block. Be sure to take down student's name before you release them so that you don't count them absent. Note that Kayla O. has a permanent pass to Mr. Falls (126) and should not be marked absent. I will take care of her absences if Mr. Falls contacts me that she has not shown up. Occassionally, there is a phone call requesting students to come down to the main office, or front desk, or clinic. You should sign their planners once they are dismissed so that they are not "caught" in the halls. |

Notes (THS)
-Seating Charts are by the door / next to whiteboard based upon where students should sit.
--Numbers next to squares indicate computers assigned to students if there is ever computer work to be completed.
-1st block should have announcements playing at beginning of the hour. All remotes are in desk drawer. Small black remote turns on projector. Grey remote turns on tv. Channel should be set to 21 for announcements. If switching from computer input to television input or visa versa, press source until desired input appears. To turn off projector, press small black remote (red button) once; wait for message to appear on the screen that says press second time, then press second time.
If exchange bulb message appears, wait until it disappears...this may take a couple of minutes.
-Assignments: Students should pick up their WIP folders at start of block and return them at the end of the block to the appropriate area. All homework assignments should be placed in the folders, or, if turned in an alternative way, the place where the assignment can be found should be clearly marked on the inside portion of the WIP folder. For example, if John had emailed the assignment, he should write the name of assignment, the date, and the method of sending in the cover:
"Essay number 3, September 19th, 2012, emailed September 18th"
-Available supplies are located under the white board. If it's not there I don't have it. Dictionaries and Thesauri are located throughout the room. Please have students put any supplies back where they found them.
-Before leaving, please make sure desks are returned to proper location (as in the seating chart), especially if there was the need to move desks, all computers are logged off, shut down, plugged in with cords tucked away (if computers were used), all WIP folders are returned, and the projector is turned off.
-I thank you very much for subbing for me.
Feel free to leave a note on my desk, including your sub number and area of expertise if you desire to sub again for me.
Any additional notes can be handwritten and left in the pencil/pen drawer or emailed to me at [email protected]. Please note that the Contact Form at the very bottom of this page will go directly to me email inbox. Be sure to put name, date and block on your correspondance.
Thank you again, EDM
