February Written Test M/C
Do these thirty questions (from February M/C Test), the Wood Quiz from Chapters 1-8 (from February Wood Quiz- since I didn't prewarn you regarding this, I will only count this section as "positive points" and not punish you for wrong answers), then choose one essay (from February Essay Test) to do in class. Turn the M/C, the Wood Quiz and the one chosen essay in by the end of class.
You may be tempted to look at the other questions, however as some may be used in future tests, I ask that you use your best judgement on whether it is worth your while to pre-read essay questions. On the one hand (option 1), you will lose the element of surprise, on the other hand (option 2), you will have more time to prepare and orientate yourself on these topics. Option one allows you to practice test taking skills. Option two allows you to use the test as a prompt that will help you study.
The other two essays, please do at home to be turned in at the start of the next class. There should be no more than 40 minutes time spent on each question. Should you go over, please draw a line once 40 minutes have finished, and continue with the essay until it is completed to your satisfaction. The line will represent work done at the 40 minute mark, so please do not add any information or corrections to this part of your test.
Needless to say, you MAY NOT use any notes, rubrics, preset bullet points, or discuss the essay questions during the 40 minutes of the essay writing. You are allowed (if you chose option two) to study your boots off concerning the particular question, but once the clock starts, you need to have on your desk/workspace only the question, something to write with and something to write on. I strongly encourage you to not multitask during this time, so please resist the temptation to use social media, text messaging, telephones, or any electronic device (including music) that would distract your test taking. Also, please inform those around you that you need a solid block of time without interruption.
